Tokyo - Dalloyau

20 September 2009 - 15:30 (Sunday)

The biggest regret we've ever had with regards to Japan was that it took us a little too long to realise how good the Japs are with their desserts. During our 18 days visit here in March, we completely did not bother with tea time desserts... the only one being at Le Tao over at Hokkaido.

And this time round, the only reason why we even tried the desserts was cos we did so much walking that we had to take a break in between lunch and dinner and where else better than a Patisserie to rest those weary legs and sip a cup of tea and some sweets to bring back the energy. It was only then that we realised how good the cakes and desserts are over here in Japan.

Dalloyau came so highly recommended by Tomomi, a colleague working in our Japan office, that we decided we had to give it a try. Our conclusion.... SOOooooOOoooo GooooOOOoood. Wen's not a big fan of desserts but when she walked into Dalloyau, she just wanted to eat everything! They looked so good in the display shelves and tasted even better.

Just to prove how good the desserts were..... u will notice that we had a total of 3 macarons and 3 cakes.... and that was for just the two of us, after a very heavy lunch.... and we aren't really very big eaters..... that's how good it was!
